5 FREE OR ALMOST FREE WAYS TO TRAVEL

Travel Tips

Want to see the world, but your wallet screams “No”? Don’t worry. There are some ways how to travel the world, see the most of it, experience all and still be in a budget! Sounds amazing? Yes! Everything is possible if you find a way and hold to it!

If you still can’t find it, then you came to the right place! We are going to share some of the easiest, funniest and carefree ways how to travel free (or almost for free) and make your wallet and you happy!

Join volunteer programs

One of the most amusing ways how to travel the world, stay on a budget and even find new friends is to become a volunteer and help other people in faraway lands! There are a bunch of different volunteer organizations for you to choose. Many of them offer not only free accommodation but give you food or even some money to spend. So all you need to do is to buy a plane ticket at that is it! And the best part about all this is that you will help some people really in need!

Join Couchsurfing community

If you don’t want to volunteer but still want to save money and reduce your spendings, join a vast community of couchsurfers around the globe. This internet platform offers free accommodation from 1 to up to 5 days (or even more if your host is willing) in most countries in a world.

All you need to do if you want to use it is to register there. Get some references about you and start looking for people who would love to welcome you into their home. You can also invite people to visit your country and let them stay at your place as well! Couchsurfing is really one of the best ways how to travel the world, meet new friends and stay as much on a budget as you can.

Prepare for the trip with coupons

Online is not just a perfect place to shop for clothing or other items, but it is also an incredible place to find cheap hotel rooms or plane tickets. Along with some coupons, you will make any trip preparation easy, quick, and surely budget friendly.

There is really not much else what to say – you have to check those coupons by yourself and see with your own eyes how much you can save just after a few clicks on the web!

Take a slow trip

Knew it or not, but plane tickets are expensive for a reason. We are paying a lot of money because we can travel everywhere very fast. So if you want to save money or travel almost for free, try to go as long as possible.

Drive by yourself, hitch-hike, walk around or just avoid anything that can take you there quickly. Otherwise, you will miss a lot of beautiful things around you because you won’t be able to take a moment and look around.

Secondly, fast pace means fast goodbye to your money. All airports know that and offer you a privilege to travel quickly but at the proper cost. So better travel slow, save money as much as possible and experience nature and cities around you with relaxed, adventurous, and slow pace.

Seize the day

Finally, the last tip we have for you is to seize the day as much as possible! Carpe diem – as some people like to say. If your friend wants to travel with backpacks through the country, join him and travel together. Don’t be afraid to say “yes” and you will not only see the places you were only dreaming about but also forget about the money. Just grab your bag and ride along! Use every chance you get in your life and live the fullest now!

  1. hi ! I normally think its an insult for healthy people to travel and housing, travel from people in poor countries. Get a job, save some cash and plan to spend $10 a day. You will be amazed how far it will go if you are a true budget traveller and not a beggar exploiting the kindness and generosity of the poor in 3rd world countries. this blog is quit comfort for me to realize it! .
