Beer and sports go great together anywhere! As a marketer I love seeing great advertisements. Especially ones that connect with the hearts of the people. Sergio showed me this one after he saw my post about Maradona. Quilmes is the most popular beer company in Argentina and they ran this campaign in 2002 during the World Cup in Korea and Japan. I’m hoping they’ll come out with another one like this as Argentina prepares to win World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The footage at the :40 to :50 mark of the video is from what is considered the greatest goal in World Cup history by Maradona against England in 1986. Even if you don’t understand, you can feel it.
SIDE NOTE: On Wednesday if Argentina wins we are in the World Cup! If we loose and Ecuador wins ‘we’ are out. So, let’s go Messi!!!!
